Fall Session for 2019 is LIVE!
Art Classes! Art Lessons! Learn to Draw! Learn to Paint! With a little bit of art history thrown in. A variety of classes and workshops will be offered here in my studio for the beginning student to the more advanced, from realistic drawing to mixed media sculpting, and anything in between.
In almost all classes, ALL materials will be included. There will be nothing to buy as you try out all the ways of making art.
All the classes focus on creativity and imagination, as well as technique. Both hold great value. I want the student to be able to explore and test different media, learning traditional methods, while creating art through their own experience of the process.
I want to make art accessible. I want to make it real, hands-on, and simple. I want to foster a love of art, and a belief in self and ones own ability to create. We've all got something inside to express! Sometimes all we need is an opportunity to try something new!
There will be new projects every season.
Hi. My name is Robin Patterson.
I wear a lot of hats. I paint, I draw, I write, I take photos, I work in graphic design, I craft . . . just to name a few. But that's the thing about creative people; their interests often creep into other imaginative areas.
I have been a teacher of art, drawing, writing, design, and all-around creativity, to students of all ages, both privately and in group classes. It's important to me to be able to share all that I've learned through the years. I love to see the wonder in a new artist's eyes as skills grow and evolve. It's so rewarding to help others realize their creative potential.
My husband and I have recently settled here, in the SDG area of Ontario, after moving around Canada. We've lived in Quebec, Saskatchewan, and BC. I'm happy to call Ontario home, and we're looking forward to putting down roots. I'm so happy to be able to open my doors! Welcome!
Fall, Winter & Spring Class sessions run for 10 weeks.
Summer class sessions run for 4 weeks in July and 4 weeks in August.
Please dress for a mess:
Paint sometimes drips...
Pastel gets all over our hands...
glue & clay get under our nails!
soooo...dress for a mess! (and bring along some indoor footwear!)
Classes are small, which means lots of individual attention, but it also means that registering early is suggested. Message me on Facebook, Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or text/call 613-360-4037 to reserve your spot.
Payments can be by cash, cheque or e-transfer to email@example.com.
Payment is not refunded for missed classes.
Cancelled classes will be refunded.
If a class is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstance, a later "make-up" date will be announced.
With the exception of "Assisted Studio for Adults," all materials are included in the cost of the class. No supplies to buy.
Some classes can be joined later than the starting date. So if you miss the beginning, or you found out about a class after the start date, just give me a call or send me a message and I'll see what I can do for you!
If you want to see a class or workshop offered, send me a note and I'll see what I can do!
