Zero Tolerance

Crayon Box Studio is a safe, positive, inclusive, and fun place to learn about art and express oneself. There will be absolutely no tolerance for disrespectful or disruptive behavior towards anyone. This includes staff, other students and participants, and it does include siblings!

We also insist on respect for the materials and tools we provide here in the studio. Part of our learning experience is how to properly use and care for them. Don’t misuse them, break them with intent, waste them, or otherwise devalue them. 

Art Friendly Clothing and Indoor Footwear

Please don’t wear clothes that interfere with your artmaking, or that are valuable and/or treasured. When we make art, we often get messy. Please dress appropriately.

Please bring indoor footwear. It’s not safe to walk around without something on your feet. No outdoor shoes allowed in the studio, and ABSOLUTELY NO BARE FEET ALLOWED at any time. This is especially important during inclement weather when wet shoes are an absolute hazard.

No Observers

Space is limited. Except for Birthday parties, no observers will be allowed. Every attendee is a paid participant.

Cancellation & Refund Policies

My business is very small, and in order to continue to offer services in our community, I have to limit the impact of multiple cancellations. There are only a small number of spaces available in each class or camp. Cancellations leave me with empty spaces that could have been filled by customers that have been turned away and now have made other commitments. 

Payment at registration guarantees your spot. All classes and camps are non-refundable, but registrations can be transferred. You can sell or give away your spot as long as you contact me by email. If this option doesn’t work for you and you absolutely MUST cancel, a credit will be issued less a $20 administration fee, up to 6 weeks before a camp begins, or 3 weeks before a regular season class begins. After these dates, no credits will be offered as these now empty spots will be difficult if not impossible to fill. Credits can be used toward any upcoming class or camp provided there is space available. Credits expire after 1 year.

No refunds are offered for missed classes, missed days, late arrivals, or absences.

If I cancel a full camp week, or a complete 10-week regular session class, I will issue a full refund.

If I cancel a single day during a 10-week regular session, I will offer a make-up day at the end of that session.
